Exedy Competition Clutch

Maximum clamp load is 685kg (AP is 770kg). EXEDY solution provides much easier driveability (Lighter clutch pedal).

EXEDY engineers have used a much stronger friction material (Organic – to retain driveability) which can increase the torque capacity to a whopping 200lb-ft.

The usual steel backing is not required on the drive plate because of the high burst characteristics and friction coefficient of the friction material.

It has been burst tested to 15,000 RPM, whereas the Lotus MAX RPM is 7,500. There is no need to strengthen further.

Lighter clutch pedal than AP equivalent.

Stronger friction material than AP equivalent.

No need for steel backing as current disc / friction material is already of a significant strength.

Can handle 200 lb-ft / 270Nm at flywheel.

NOTES ON FITMENT.

If you are installing this clutch with a new gearbox or an upgraded one (Quaife), you'll need to ensure the spline on the clutch plate can move freely on the shaft.

It may also be necassary to adjust the Clutch Master Cylinder push rod to increase the travel.

N.B. EXEDY Racing Clutch warranty is limited to the reimbursement or replacement of products which are deemed to have a material or design defect within 3,000 miles / 4,828km or 6 months from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first.
