Spending an extra few pounds will save thousands on a complete rebuild. We recommend changing the tensioner at the cambelt service interval.

Other recommendations for replacement are to change from an automatic tensioner (dynamic) type to a manual (static) tensioner type, especially after cylinder head modifications on your K Series engine including the usage of vernier pulleys.

PLEASE DECIDE WHICH TENSIONER TO ORDER FROM THE BELOW LIST, DO NOT SEND A REQUEST WITH YOUR ENGINE NUMBER.

SOME ENGINES MAY HAVE BEEN CONVERTED TO MANUAL TENSIONERS WE CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR THE WRONG CHOICE OF TENSIONER 

The engine number can be found stamped either on the left hand side of the main bearing ladder or cast on the rear left hand side of the cylinder block.

Usually BUT NOT ALWAYS Engine numbers after the above have automatic cambelt tensioners. Any numbers before the above usually have manual tensioners but check yours before ordering.

All VHPD and VVC engines use the manual STEEL Tensioner and Belt.
